i realized what’s the best part
of my being here on earth
is to give joy to others
to make them smile
to make them whole
i thought i was just an insignificant creature
moving around in circles
but i became aware
of all the people around me
who constantly wish for my presence
they say i give light
they say i give my all
that’s true, really
coz i feel good giving all
i give them love
i show them concern
and in times of trouble
i’m always there
ready to catch them
when they fall
i won’t leave them for anything
coz they are my friends
and they are worth it
when i’m down
they’re also around
to pat my back
to hug my soul
they give me the strength
the way i do
and i know
i will forever be with them
even if sometimes we don’t see each other
